In the early fall of 1993, Jane Kaczmarek starred in 6 episodes of a situation comedy called Big Wave Dave's. CBS was quick to cancel the show, because the ratings were so low.
Marshall Fisher (Adam Arkin), Dave Bell (David Morse), and Richie Lamonica (Patrick Breen) are friends who decide to give up their suburban lives and move to Hawaii to open a surf shop. The catch? They must first convince Marshall's wife Karen (Jane Kaczmarek) that the move isn't the dumbest idea ever. It's gonna be a tough sell... Rounding out the cast, is a beach bum named Jack Lord (Kurtwood Smith). Smith would go on to star in the hit FOX sitcom That '70s Show.
