It's very close to the 5th, no trailer, nothing really.

If anybody has news we'd love to hear it.

I should have theater locations by Tuesday afternoon/evening (assuming Dimension does not pull the film from release). In the meantime the only two things I've been able to get are a new picture still from the film, courtesy of FilmJerk:

and this revised/expanded film description:

Mike falls for the cutest girl in his class but finds he's looking for love in all the wrong places. Chuck loses his virginity with his girlfriend and finds she wants to take things much further, including farm animals and midgets. Barry is obsessed with building the perfect woman on his computer a la "Weird Science." Fred meets a girl online and goes to her home for role-playing sex games, only to realize he's in the wrong apartment. Mateus faces the aftermath of a crazy night of partying. Griffin falls in love with an electric vagina. All while a TV talk show host spoofs TV public service announcements about teen sex.

The character of Chuck is played by Frankie.

To be honest, I'm quite surprised that Dimension is going for a theatrical release of this film, as opposed to the original straight-to-DVD plan. My assumption is they are doing this solely based on the continued popularity of Michael Cera (Superbad, Juno, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist), who plays Fred in this film. I'm not sure this is the wisest move but we shall see.

Extreme Movie opens today on only three screens in the US, down from the 50+/- screens the distributor was planning on. It's unknown the reason for the significant theater count change.

The film is currently playing in the following cities only:

Amsterdam, NY - Emerald Cinemas

Portland, OR - Clinton Street Theater

Columbia, SC - Carmike Wynnsong 10

Dimension Extreme seem to have dropped info on the DVD from their site, so instead of a DVD release, we get 3 cinemas. Great!

I still find it hard to believe that its actually playing anywhere, no website, no trailer.

The frankie Muniz scene is maybe 2-5 minutes where he is trying to convince the girl to have sex with him and she gets comfortable and she continusly says lets take things to the next level while doing all these crazy kinky sex things i cant mention here and at the end he grabs his clothes and runs like crazy.

We where always unsure how big a role Frankie had. He was always listed as a big deal in the credits but I guess he was just guest starring? Unless thats just one scene?

[See Front Page Post for Video]

Originally titled Parental Guidance Suggested, Extreme Movie is the very long awaited movie co-starring Frankie as Chuck, that he filmed a few years ago. In December it was shown in select theatres and finally its out on DVD. The film is a series of loosely related scenes, Frankie only appears in the scene before the opening credits. Its a pretty funny scene full of sex, sheep, gimps, Nazis, babies, mice, midgets and Frankie in his underwear! Watch his whole scene above.

For some really strange reason there is still no normal trailer, however they have produced two tie in websites with 'viral' marketing and video clips - STD e-cards & Abraham Sex. Neither feature Frankie.

See screen caps from the movie in our GALLERY. Hardcore MITM fans will notice a short scene with our very own Meagen Fay who played Gretchen Mannkusser of the Grotto.

NEXT LEVEL! Buy the DVD on Amazon.

SPOILER

They forget to have an actual plot in this movie. It would have been better if there was one and it led up to the funny Frankie scene at the conclusion. It might have made cultural waves like American Pie if it had. Instead, a limited release no one will see.

Some of the skits funny, some not. The finale accidently making porn song is not nearly as funny as the Malcolm in the Middle accidently filming porn at the ranch. Individual episodes of Malcolm are better then so many movies that have a similar premise.

I'm kind of loath to admit it, as I usually hate stuff like this, but I actually found that scene pretty funny. NEXT LEVEL!!!!

I have zero desire to sit through the rest of the film, but as a 5 minute skit, that worked.

TJ: The viral marketing thing would just be another way of cutting costs, instead of making a full blown trailer. It's just cheaper to produce little virals like that and then hope that consumers spread them around. Thus consumers market the product for you; enabling the people who are paid to market the film to sit around doing sweet f.a. whilst pretending they are being innovative.

EDIT: Just had a watch of aforementioned viral marketing; laughing at STD's, hmmm, that's.... tasteless. It's meant to be of course, but still. Also, I notice they got as far as Hepatitis then stopped. Obviously jokes about AIDS would just be sick, but Hepatitis, Syphilis, that's fine? Am I the only one who thinks there's some pretty twisted logic at work here? The whole thing leaves a pretty bad taste if I'm honest.

Well, so the movie may have been kind of a dud but Frankie certainly showed he was willing to go to the NEXT LEVEL on film compared to what he had done in Malcolm.

First level!

That's enough levels unless you want to become an adult entertainer!
