Frankie Muniz will guest star in a November sweeps episode of CBS' drama, Criminal Minds.

He is set to play "a famous comic-book artist who becomes involved in the search for a serial killer in Los Angeles."

We are currently unsure whether this means he will turn out to be the killer.

Frankie's episode is scheduled to air Wednesday November 28th at 9:00pm on CBS.

I'm really excited about this episode with Frankie. :) More great news about the eppy, courtesy of Kristin at E! Online:

John in West Hollywood, California: You don't cover it too much, but anything on Criminal Minds?
Kristin: Just our deepest apologies for not covering Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) more heretofore. We promise to amend our ways. In the meantime, we hear from an inside source at the show that the Frankie Muniz ep is super: "The episode focuses on a graphic novelist, and visually, it will be like no other CM you have ever seen. The script is freakin' amazing."

Since he is a guest star, I wonder if he is killed? I don't think Frankie was ever killed yet on screen was he? He somehow defied all odds and normal Hollywood script formulas to survived to the end of a horror movie.

I haven't seen Criminal Minds but I believe it's like one of those shows that starts out with some sort of violent introduction and then something happens to that guest character that usually varies each week and they try to solve exactly what happened, right? Like CSI, or House? So in that case I would be led to believe that Frankie is the guy in that violent intro and is probably dead by the end of the ep. But we shall see.

Rye said Frankie "becomes involved in the search for a serial killer", so that means Frankie's character most likely will be working with the investigators throughout the show. But about if he is going to die or not, I do not know for sure, can go both ways. He is either a victim or someone that knows the criminal and wants to also stop him. So if Frankie's character dies that might be the result of victim casualty.

I watch the show on some occasions, and usually entire episodes are focusing on a criminal and trying to figure out why they committed the crime, if they will commit it again, and how to stop them from committing again. Unlike most cop shows, this one actually has people who specialise in human behavior science that can attempt to figure out what the criminal is planning and thinking in order to either solve a mystery or prevent future crimes.

The criminals are usually bombers, serial killers, rapists, etc, so usually there is a victim or multiple victims that are in danger throughout the course of the episode. The investigators try and figure out what the criminal will do next by attempting to predict what they are going to do.

Thanks for the pic, TJ. The official episode description should be released by CBS tomorrow, Tuesday at the latest, so we may learn a bit more about the episode at that point.

Thanks TJ. I'm looking forward to seeing this episode. CBS appears to have skipped their official press release for this episode for some strange reason. I'll keep an eye out in case they release it later this week.

Get ready, the much anticipated Criminal Minds episode that has been hailed as unlike any Criminal Minds episode you have seen before. Not only is it starring our very own Frankie Muniz as a comic book artist but has already had great reviews before airing. Check out the promo trailer above. From it we can gather that a killer is bringing to life the deaths or murders from his character's comics and the FBI either suspects Frankie's character of the crimes or enlists him to help them catch a killer or both.

The episode will be airing o Wednesday, November 28th at 9:00pm on CBS. Shortly after we will have a copy for you to watch/stream or download here, so check back after Wednesday!

See pictures from the set and episode here.

You're welcome, Sam.

I'm also hearing this episode is written by one of the series' executive producers, Edward Allen Bernero.

November 28th, the day this episode airs, also marks the close of November Sweeps, which is one of four times throughout the year where advertising rates are set based on the strength of ratings. All networks schedule their most prominent episodes and guest appearances during sweeps periods, which occur each February, May, July and November.

These are yet two more reasons why this episode is shaping up to be a big one.

Frankie Muniz on ‘Criminal Minds’ Watch It Here!

[See Front Page Post for Video]

'True Night' the Criminal Minds episode starring Frankie aired last night and you can watch the whole episode here. Previous reviews did not exaggerate its a stunning dark episode, Frankie was most excellent.

Muniz was reunited with actress Ellen Hollman, who previously guest starred and made her television debut on Malcolm in the Middle (Blackout - season 7, episode 7)

...Frankie was most excellent.

He certainly was. It was good to see him in a darker role and I found the episode engrossing and interesting from the first shot. I admit, it took me a few scenes to not think of Frankie as Malcolm but by the time his character bolts from the autograph signing, those thoughts had subsided and I was very into the story being told and trying to figure out his character.

Hope to see Frankie in more roles like this as time goes on.

Ratings are in from the episode and they are very good. Here's CBS' press release on the subject:

"CRIMINAL MINDS" DELIVERS IT LARGEST AUDIENCE AND BEST RATING IN ADULTS 18-49 SINCE ITS POST SUPER BOWL WEDNESDAY BROADCAST LAST FEBRUARY

"Criminal Minds" Ends the November Sweep with its Third Consecutive Time Period Win in Adults 18-49

CBS's CRIMINAL MINDS delivered its largest audience and best adult 18-49 rating since its post Super Bowl Wednesday broadcast on Feb. 7 last season, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 28, the final night of the November sweep.

CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (10.0/15), viewers (16.26m), adults 25-54 (5.5/13) and adults 18-49 (4.5/11). This is CRIMINAL MINDS third consecutive time period win in these measures.

Compared to last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +4% in both households (from 9.6/16) and adults 25-54 (from 5.3/13), +18% in adults 18-49 (from 3.8/11) and added +380,000 viewers (from 15.88m, +2%).

Those are pretty huge statistics...! I'm glad the episode lived up to its expectations.

I like these crime dramas (CSI, Law and Order, Criminal Minds, Cold Cases) but they are all usually pretty fomulaic and get just plain redundant with so many on air. Usually they just focus on the investigators and them piecing together the crime. In this case it is a bit different and I don't think I'm exaggerating to say Frankie (with help from the writer obviously) totally stole the stage and made us care about his character, not just the curiosity of the criminal investigation.

Also, Frank Miller is cool and that adds some spice to the episode.

wow. i just watched it right now (missed it on tv). That was an amazing episode.

was all the art in the episode done be Frank Miller? because some of those pages look very close to "300". Kinda funny seeing Frankie Muniz play an artist, as I am one too. And yeah.. "sometime for an artist the only difference between insanity and genius, is success"
