I certainly don't agree with a lot of the ways she handled things and I do think she's too overprotective, and too controlling but I won't say she's "awful"
I don't like how she ran Malcolm's life for him. Yes, she wanted him to only do the best and I guess it paid off, but still. Talking about picking his wife for him, telling him he has to become president the hard way, and things like that bugged me. I know in her heart she was only doing what she thought was right, but it got to me.
I don't like how she tried to sabotage Dewey's music competition. That really ticked me off. I saw no reason for that. That was pure cruelty in my book.
Sometimes I do think she was a bit out of control and took her power too seriously, but with those boys, I can see why.
