Favorite commercials

If I had to pick a favorite commercial, it'd be for that chain of electronic stores in in the New York area called Crazy Eddie. They were around late 70s/early 80s, but, are they good or what? In the commercials, this announcer Jerry Carroll was practically hyper, announcing sale prices at all Crazy Eddie stores, mentioning that they aren't/can't/won't be undersold, also mentioning you can find the lowest prices around, take them to Crazy Eddie, and he'll beat them. In every commercial, Crazy Eddie was always referenced as the 3rd party. The lasting mark was the famous tagline, "Crazy Eddie - His Prices are IN-SAAAAANE!"

I guess I'd rather just nix the commercials and have just the programming. :D I don't really pay attention to them as it is anyhow.

The most annoying commercial I ever saw was one I saw on TVland. It was a commercial from 1969 and it was for detergent that fought "ring around the collar". It was stupid because a suitcase would pop open and the shirts inside would have ring around the collar, and this stupid trio of singing kids came on and went "Ring around the collar! RING AROUND THE COLLAR!" It was sooo friggen annoying!

I see what you mean. There is a similar "fantasy" type scene in a season one episode when he passes the Porsche showroom. Only I find it hard to believe that somebody could be as sexually excited about a Kia. At one moment, the guy in the ad looks like he is humping the wheel of one of the cars. It's a funny clip.- I think American commercials are crazy.

The Sony walkman advert is brilliant; the collaboration sounds cool too:

And staying with airlines, the post 7-11 AA commercials (which aired back in 2002) look proffesionally made and evoke that sense of national pride for the flag carrier. The largest and possibly one of the best airlines in the world. According to their annual report (I have the 2004 edition), there is an AA flight taking off somewhere on the planet every 12 seconds.

Yeah, it was mostly his actions that reminded me.

Jack Black went to my school. He's a really funny guy.
