Internet Browsers

What's you guys' opninon on web browsers? Mine - variety. There's the common Internet Explorer on Windows. To me, it's a browsing deathtrap, as I downloaded version 7 beta 2 and got more than I bargined for (more pop-ups, slower speed, unwanted applications making their way through). To me, I'm better off with AOL Explorer (AOL's Internet Explorer counterpart, but safer; http://downloads.channel.aol.com/browser) Firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com/) and Opera (http://www.opera.com/). AOL Explorer, Opera, and Firefox (along with IE7) have Tabbed Browsing, but Opera and Firefox have these unique download managers that keep track of what you downloaded, and you can customize the look and feel of your browsers. I keep Opera, Firefox and AOLE on tab, and as soon as I get a good anti-virus program, IE7 is OUT! :D

I like the ideas in IE7, but they still seem poorly implemented and the whole app just seems pokey. I like Firefox because it's fast, free, and functional.

That's what I use most frequently besides AOL Explorer (with AIM, but you can install separately). Basically, in order of frequency...
  1. Firefox
  2. AOLE
  3. Opera
  4. IE

I LOVE firefox.

How do you have tabs at the top AND at the bottom AND on the side? It confuses me just looking at it. :D I like Firefox for its simplicity. But I guess that's why it's great, because it can be customized. (But you need the Google Toolbar, then you'll understand Google Spell Check. :D)

Oh, i see its a feature in google toolbar. Well i see no point in Google toolbar i have all the faetures it offer allready. But its good for some.

I have tabs at top like normal then i have a sidbar so you click the icons on the left for downloads, extentions, themes, etc etc

and at the bottom is a new extentions im trying which just shows my downloaded files nice and tidy at the bottom.

It took me awhile to get used to Firefox, but honestly its the tabbed browsing and extensive customibility that I just couldn't go without anymore.

I heard about Firefox from somewhere. Didn't pay much attention to it until a few months ago. The thing that I had problems with were the images. I had to view select images the way it was set up. Only tonight did I find out how to get the stupid images up! :D Now I'm thinking of nixing Opera! lol :p
