Recap on cast's upcoming projects....Includin g new Bryan Cranston info
As the time passes since the finale of MITM was filmed and subsequently aired, the cast is beginning to take on new projects. I'd thought I'd recap what's been announced thus far, here in a new thread.
Jane Kaczmarek: Jane guest stars in the pilot of "Help Me Help You," which will be airing Tuesdays at 9:30pm this fall on ABC and co-stars Ted Danson. As of now, Jane has only signed on to appear in the pilot of this series however, at the upfronts held in New York City last month, industry folks mentioned that they were very impressed with Jane and felt she and Ted Danson have good chemistry and the producers have stated in a couple of articles that they would like her to appear in the series on a recurring basis. To date though, there has been no announcement that this will occur.
Plot summary for "Help Me Help You":
(from ABC's press release) Whoever came up with the idea of group therapy? Take a bunch of people who are all really messed up in different ways and put them in a room together to try and help each other out. he group leader, Dr. Bill Hoffman, is probably the craziest and most self-obsessed of all, but his patients would never know it because he hides behind his very respectable celebrity image as a bestselling author of phenomenally successful self-help books. Directed by Brian Dannelly ("Saved," "Weeds"), the series explores the comical side of group therapy as members of the group apply the good doctor's advice to the real world with enthusiastic effort, until they begin to realize maybe Dr. Bill should be doing the heavy lifting along with them. Ted Danson ("Cheers") stars.
