Re: holidays

In summer 2003, I went to Atlanta and CNN Center. Man, it's like a mall in there! You got a hotel, a food court, a store with everything Turner. I went on the tour. I actually witnessed a live news bulletin. Then I went to the store where we made a video of me doing the news! It was awesome!

BTW, after this post, refer to me as reese350.;):p

Re: holidays

That sounds awesome. The biggest studio I've ever been in is my local ABC affiliate--not too impressive. :D

OK, let's all (well, at least those of us in the US) quiz Mike. Let's see how many local TV affiliates he knows. Since I'm here first, he can start with Green Bay. :D

The Big 4 Majors...
WBAY ABC2 (Action 2 News)
WFRV CBS 5 (Formerly NewsChannel 5, now just CBS 5 News)
WLUK Fox 11 (Fox 11 News)
WGBA NBC26 (NBC 26 Live at [time listed])

Just so you know, I'm not intrested in the other networks and/or affiliates except for the big markets. UPN/WB are gonna fold, i is too unknown and I'm not big on the indies.

Who's next?

Yours is a small town, adjacent to the Norfolk/Hampton Roads Region.

You get
WTKR CBS 3 (YOUR NewsChannel 3)
WAVY NBC 10 (WAVY News 10)
WVEC ABC 13 (13 News, the Spirit of Hampton Roads)
WVBT Fox 43 (First on Fox 43 News at 10)

That's right! You even got the taglines. :D It sort of a trick question cause the area is actually referred to as Hampton Roads (which you found out) and it's made up of 7 cities--Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Newport News and Hampton. :)

Let's see... yours is near Atlantic City. The only local affiliate you have is

WMGM NBC 40 (NewsChannel 40 NBC)

The only other options are over the air affiliates in Philly...

KYW CBS 3 (CBS 3 Eyewitness News)
WPVI ABC 6 (Action News, with a nice new studio)
WCAU NBC 10 (NBC 10 News)
WPHL WB 17 (WB17 News at 10, powered by NBC 10)
WTXF Fox 29 (Fox 29 News)
WPSG UPN/CW 57 (WakeUpNews/CBS 3 Eyewitness News on UPN 57)

...and the #1 TV market, the Big Apple.
WCBS2 (CBS 2 News)
WNBC4 (News Channel 4)
WNYW Fox 5 (Fox 5 News)
WABC7 (ABC/Channel 7 EYYYEwitness News)
WWOR UPN 9 (9 News [Fox TV stations retributed at the CW news by removing UPN promotions and labeling from their stations)
WPIX WB/CW 11 (WB11 Morning News/WB11 News at Ten)

BTW, after this post, the 350 promotion is over.

Dang. You hit the nail on the head there. :D Everyone hates S. Jersey, so we only get 1 local channel, we get Philly's TV's and that is just what I need to see, all the murders and corruption hearings. :D

The strange thing about mine is that NBC10 and NBC40 show the same thing all the time, except for local news, now I know why. :D
