When I first heard about the Ronald McDonald Houses for sick children and their family more than 20 years ago, I couldn't believe that such a good cause was championed by a company not exactly known for the wholesome quality of their food. Perhaps they already had a quilty conscience even before they had to deal with serious criticism from health professionals?
