Nothing can be said against a little fun in here. :D

This should be a quiz where one puts in a quote from any Malcolm in the Middle episode, and the others have to guess in which episode (or easier: in which situation) this line was said, and by whom it was said.

I'm going to start. The one who guessed right may post another quote.

First quote: "He likes the juice from the wet half poured on to the dry."

Who said that and in which situation or episode?

yardgames
Mar 30, 2005, 12:14 PM
That's easy! That was "Convention;" Craig was explaining to Dewey how to take care of Jellybean before he left.

Ok, here's mine:
"So I stayed up all last night thinking of a bunch of comebacks. And I even have potential comebacks for every potential comeback of her's."

arach
Mar 30, 2005, 12:35 PM
That's right, but it was from "Malcolm vs. Reese". :)

Your quote really sounds like Malcolm. Most likely from the older seasons. But that's all I can imagine right now...:(

yardgames
Mar 30, 2005, 12:47 PM
Was it MvR? Oh, Convention was the one with the hot babysitter wasn't it? My bad.

Yeah, it's Malcolm and it's from season 5

Dewey
Mar 30, 2005, 01:18 PM
"So I stayed up all last night thinking of a bunch of comebacks. And I even have potential comebacks for every potential comeback of her's."
Was it from Thanksgiving?

Amigo22
Mar 30, 2005, 04:17 PM
"So I stayed up all last night thinking of a bunch of comebacks. And I even have potential comebacks for every potential comeback of her's."

That's from Malcolm's Job

And a new quote:

Hal: "ARE YOU CRAZY? YOU'RE THROWING OUT STUFF THAT'S NOT EVEN MINE!"

allison
Mar 30, 2005, 05:41 PM
That´s from "Malcolm babysits"

New quote:
Reese: "Dewey, you´re wearing an invitation to an ass-kicking."

Amigo22
Mar 30, 2005, 05:42 PM
That's from Old Mrs Old

yardgames
Mar 30, 2005, 06:28 PM
Amigo, you get to give a new quote now.

Amigo22
Mar 31, 2005, 01:58 AM
Francis: "Do you have any more pictures of your sister?"

allison
Mar 31, 2005, 06:57 AM
I´m pretty sure that´s from season 1. Is it from "Shame"?

Dewey
Mar 31, 2005, 07:48 AM
Francis: "Do you have any more pictures of your sister?"
Is this from High School Play?

arach
Mar 31, 2005, 08:49 AM
Another guess: I believe it was after Commandante Spengler chopped off Francises flower with his hook. I don't know in which episode that happened.

yardgames
Mar 31, 2005, 09:23 AM
No, no I know it. I know the storyline, but hte ep title escapes me. It's from season one or maybe early season 2. Francis is still in military school. He takes a break to help out with some all-female play, and he's loving it because the females are really hot and he gets to do stuff like rub lotion on their backs; the females also love him because normally boys just guack at them, which leads to their conclusion that Francis is gay.

allison
Mar 31, 2005, 09:24 AM
I think High school play was the episode with the flower, so you´re both right.

edit: @Yardgames:
The episode you´re talking about is "Lois vs evil"

yardgames
Mar 31, 2005, 09:32 AM
Amigo, you got us with a hard one here. Which one of us is right?

Amigo22
Mar 31, 2005, 04:55 PM
Allison, Arach and Appanah all guessed it. It's from High School Play. I'll make my new quote easier this time:

Dewey: "I hate my brothers, I only like me, I hate my brothers, I only like me..."

arach
Mar 31, 2005, 05:12 PM
That was easy. Just had to check the Cold Openers of Season One. (I hope that's not cheating... :o)

It's Lois vs. Evil.

Next one: Dewey: "Fine, I'll do it. But I just wanted you to know - If some crazy couple steals me and then raises me as a girl, it's on your head!"

Just let me know if you need any hints. ;)

allison
Mar 31, 2005, 05:19 PM
That´s from experiment.

Dewey
Mar 31, 2005, 06:27 PM
Another easy one:

Reese: What are you looking at; monkey-boy?

allison
Mar 31, 2005, 06:33 PM
That´s from stock car races.

"Can we stop calling this a date?"

Amigo22
Apr 1, 2005, 01:15 AM
Reese Cooks?

NeCoHo
Apr 1, 2005, 06:38 AM
I think i know the story line, it's when Craig and Reese(?) and his girlfriend go out, Craig has to drive. Maybe season 3 ep.

daniel1985
Apr 1, 2005, 09:01 AM
That's Reese to Craig at the end of Malcolm holds his Tongue. OK what about this one:

"Two guys as your parents? That place must be a dude's paradise!"

allison
Apr 1, 2005, 09:11 AM
That´s from season 1 "Krelboyne picknick" (J and Daniel1985 were both right about "Malcolm holds his tongue").

Next one:
"You think that bothers me? Guess why your soup tasted different when you came back from bathroom."

yardgames
Apr 1, 2005, 09:19 AM
Grandma Ida talking to Francis...was it Ida Loses Her Leg?

dizzy
Apr 1, 2005, 09:59 AM
Baby 1 or 2??

allison
Apr 1, 2005, 11:14 AM
Dizzy is right. It´s true that it was Ida talking to Francis, but it wasn´t in Ida losing her leg. It was baby part 1.

yardgames
Apr 1, 2005, 12:58 PM
Aw well, I had just watched that episode recently, but I forgot that the episode I had watched was Baby. Dizzy, we need a new quote.

dizzy
Apr 1, 2005, 02:16 PM
Okay here's 1:

"Let's face it. Everyone on this planet is a brain-dead, butt-scratching half-wit."

Amigo22
Apr 1, 2005, 04:08 PM
That´s from season 1 "Krelboyne picknick" (J and Daniel1985 were both right about "Malcolm holds his tongue").

Next one:
"You think that bothers me? Guess why your soup tasted different when you came back from bathroom."
This is from "Grandma Sues"

allison
Apr 1, 2005, 04:25 PM
Sounds familiar. Is it a quote from season 1? I suppose that Malcolm said that, but I don´t know which episode that was.

Amigo22: No, that´s from baby 1 when Hal and the boys were away and Francis, Lois, Piama and Ida sat around the table eating a soup. Dizzy has already answered it correctly. ;)

Dewey
Apr 3, 2005, 12:56 PM
"Let's face it. Everyone on this planet is a brain-dead, butt-scratching half-wit."
Is this from 'Shame'?

Achieving this answer was a group effort in the chat room last night. Thanks Yardgames, Allison and Sullie.

dizzy
Apr 3, 2005, 01:36 PM
No, it's from season 4

allison
Apr 3, 2005, 02:52 PM
Wow, though we were so sure this is the correct answer...:( :D

Is it from Zoo?

dizzy
Apr 3, 2005, 03:37 PM
No, it's an ep near the end of the season. It has a great guest star

allison
Apr 3, 2005, 04:43 PM
Then it could be Future Malcolm. Jason Alexander isn´t a really GREAT guest star, but I couldn´t think of anyone else.

dizzy
Apr 3, 2005, 05:34 PM
Yep, that's the 1

allison
Apr 3, 2005, 06:06 PM
Cool, so I can make the next one. :D

"She´s just a person. She´s JUST a person..."

Dewey
Apr 3, 2005, 06:44 PM
"She´s just a person. She´s JUST a person..."
Is this from 'Poker'?

I'm guessing these are the words of Reese, trying to convince himself that dancing with a woman that is easily 70 years his senior is not such a bad thing.

allison
Apr 3, 2005, 06:54 PM
No, it´s correct that Reese is the one who said that, but it´s from a different episode. (He´s refering to Lois)

(Besides, I don´t know what he exactly said in the english version of Poker1, but in German he said something like: "Ok, touching a (dead) body is worse." ):D

Dewey
Apr 4, 2005, 06:38 AM
I think I've got it now.

Is it from 'Sleepover'?

Amigo22
Apr 4, 2005, 06:52 AM
I was thinking the same thing

Dewey
Apr 4, 2005, 08:36 AM
Try this one:

"In a year from now, you're gonna look like a freak"

dizzy
Apr 4, 2005, 01:16 PM
Reese said that to dewey in family reunion
Here's an other 1
If it weren't for me my family would be naked livin' in trees and eatin' berries

yardgames
Apr 4, 2005, 01:59 PM
Was that Lois talking to Caroline Miller in Stock Car Races?

allison
Apr 4, 2005, 02:21 PM
I´m pretty sure it´s from Book club when all the women complained about their families.

dizzy
Apr 4, 2005, 02:31 PM
Allison is right

allison
Apr 4, 2005, 02:37 PM
Ok, so here´s the next quote:

"You´re kidding me. The one time I need you to be a genius I find out you´re faking the whole smart thing?"

dizzy
Apr 4, 2005, 02:57 PM
Was that Reese in "Reeses job"???

allison
Apr 4, 2005, 04:11 PM
Yes, correct answer.:D

dizzy
Apr 5, 2005, 05:27 AM
Here's an other 1:

Honey, we've already had this talk. Every word that comes out of Reese's mouth is a lie. Remember?

allison
Apr 5, 2005, 06:16 AM
I think that´s either from Reese´s appartment or Garage sale. But I´m not sure.

dizzy
Apr 5, 2005, 06:22 AM
No, it's a season 2 ep.

NeCoHo
Apr 5, 2005, 06:32 AM
Reese Cooks.

Dabney
Apr 5, 2005, 01:17 PM
Traffic ticket

allison
Apr 5, 2005, 03:37 PM
I agree, I think it´s Lois to Dewey in Traffic ticket.

dizzy
Apr 6, 2005, 02:47 AM
Yep that's it :D

allison
Apr 6, 2005, 08:52 AM
Ok, here´s the next one:

"Ok, if you stop here I think I can still make it work."

yardgames
Apr 6, 2005, 02:05 PM
Easy.

That's Reese in Reese Joins the Army, when he wanted a really cool haircut and ended up with a buzz cut.

Right?

allison
Apr 6, 2005, 06:12 PM
Yeah, right. Pretty funny scene in my opinion.^^

yardgames
Apr 6, 2005, 09:31 PM
Oh, boy, I need to think of another one.

Um, ahh, ehre we go:

Reese: "Are you with me or not?"
Hal: "No! This pot is clean enough!"

allison
Apr 6, 2005, 09:41 PM
Is that from Thanksgiving?

yardgames
Apr 7, 2005, 08:42 AM
That is from Thanksgiving. I guess it was just too easy.

allison
Apr 7, 2005, 09:47 AM
Probably just because Reese and Hal don´t often talk about stuff like that (clean pots etc) :D

"I am going to die. Why didn´t anyone stop me?"

Dabney
Apr 8, 2005, 04:06 PM
Is it Casino????

allison
Apr 9, 2005, 05:53 AM
Yes, it is. You can make the next one.^^

Dabney
Apr 9, 2005, 12:26 PM
I'm a worm. I deserve to be on the floor with all the other worms.

Dewey
Apr 9, 2005, 12:35 PM
Thats from New Neighbors. These words are coming from Edwin Spangler as he feels he is not worthy of Oliver North's anticipated visit to Marlin Academy.

The 'Candy Man' scene from the same episode was brilliant!

Dewey
Apr 9, 2005, 12:37 PM
Try this one:

"I have to say, this is the high point of my day. How's that for sad?"

yardgames
Apr 9, 2005, 02:16 PM
Oh, that's easy.

That's Malcolm's teacher after he showed her his art project in Pilot.

Dewey
Apr 9, 2005, 03:01 PM
I guess that was too easy!

yardgames
Apr 9, 2005, 03:14 PM
Just a tad.

Lois: "Hal, I'm leaving a sandwich here for you..." "Wow, you must have been really hungry!"

Dewey
Apr 9, 2005, 03:24 PM
Thats from the cold opener to Reese's Party

ultimatemalcolmfan
Apr 9, 2005, 07:27 PM
Yes it is. I have one for you...
Reese: Yeah I like clouds I call them sky kittens

Dewey
Apr 9, 2005, 07:32 PM
Is that from Malcolm films Reese?

NeCoHo
Apr 9, 2005, 07:36 PM
I think so

ultimatemalcolmfan
Apr 9, 2005, 07:37 PM
Yes it is! Do you have the next one appanah?

Dewey
Apr 13, 2005, 11:52 AM
Sorry this one is a little late:

"At least I didn't raise a thief"

allison
Apr 13, 2005, 12:42 PM
That´s from Lois vs evil.

Here´s the next one:
"Come on Reese, you´re a joke."

Squeaky Yugi
Apr 13, 2005, 05:44 PM
Was that Malcolm from "Malcolm Tutors Reese?"

ultimatemalcolmfan
Apr 13, 2005, 07:22 PM
Oh I got it it was from the episode where Lois Goes to Jury Duty and they were walking through the sewer arguing about girls.

allison
Apr 14, 2005, 05:44 AM
ultimatemalcolmfan is right.^^

ultimatemalcolmfan
Apr 15, 2005, 06:38 PM
Here's another one:
Hal: The fact that I came to you should prove how desperate I am.

Dewey
Apr 15, 2005, 07:02 PM
Is that Hal trying to persuade Craig for assistance in comic book buying in the episode 'Forwards Backwards'?

allison
Apr 15, 2005, 07:07 PM
No, that´s defintely from "Standee". :D

Dewey
Apr 15, 2005, 07:20 PM
Of course it is. I forgot about that episode.

allison
Apr 15, 2005, 07:28 PM
Ok, here´s the next one:

"Turn off your brain."

Dewey
Apr 15, 2005, 07:34 PM
Is this from Malcolm's Girlfriend?

allison
Apr 15, 2005, 07:49 PM
Yes, very good. :D

Dewey
Apr 15, 2005, 07:51 PM
Here's one:

"Do you have any brothers?"

allison
Apr 15, 2005, 08:34 PM
Is that from Krelboyne girl?

Dewey
Apr 16, 2005, 02:34 AM
Yes, it is.

allison
Apr 16, 2005, 07:56 AM
"Reese, are you crying?"

dizzy
Apr 16, 2005, 08:05 AM
haloween season 2?????

Apr 16, 2005, 08:06 AM
Yeah, right.

dizzy
Apr 16, 2005, 08:12 AM
"If you can be vicious, I can be smart."

allison
Apr 16, 2005, 08:24 AM
That´s from forwards backwards.

dizzy
Apr 16, 2005, 09:58 AM
yep, you're right:)

allison
Apr 16, 2005, 10:52 AM
That´s a nudie bookstore-with my dad coming out of it"

Dewey
Apr 16, 2005, 10:53 AM
Thats from Sleepover

allison
Apr 16, 2005, 10:54 AM
correct :D Wow, you guys are really good

Dewey
Apr 16, 2005, 11:14 AM
Another easy one, I think:

"My parents were right, I never should have left the cannery."

Squeaky Yugi
Apr 18, 2005, 07:38 PM
Was that Reese from "Resse's Apartment"

Dewey
Apr 19, 2005, 04:54 AM
No its not from Reese's Appartment

NeCoHo
Apr 19, 2005, 06:02 AM
something to do with Francis?

allison
Apr 19, 2005, 08:19 AM
I think it sounds like Malcolm when he´s talking to the camera. But I have now idea in which episode he said that.

Dewey
Apr 20, 2005, 09:24 AM
Maybe you guys need a clue. Its not from a season five episode, and it is not Malcolm speaking.

Wemboy
Apr 20, 2005, 10:29 AM
Ok, i haven't contributed to this thread yet, so i'm taking a shot in the dark and saying that i reckon Craig could have said this. It seems to have that right amount of self loathing you know? No idea what episode it's from though. Am i even close?

Dewey
Apr 20, 2005, 11:18 AM
No, its not Craig either. But I do see where you are coming from.

It turns out this one isn't as obvious as i had first realised.

allison
Apr 20, 2005, 05:12 PM
Can you give us another clue? I have no idea to be honest.

adamjb_fromturkey
Apr 20, 2005, 05:12 PM
Francis Escapes iguess its too late but is this episode??

Dewey
Apr 20, 2005, 05:19 PM
Okay Allison, here's the biggest clue of all:

Its an episode from the first season (not Francis Escapes)

The quote again:
"My parents were right, I never should have left the cannery."

allison
Apr 20, 2005, 05:45 PM
Sorry, I still don´t have an idea.

Dabney
Apr 21, 2005, 02:18 PM
My only guess was Caroline Miller, but I can't remember an episode...

Dewey
Apr 21, 2005, 02:38 PM
You are half right. Wemboy was on the right lines with the self-loathing.

Instead of Craig, it was indeed Caroline Miller. Its in the scene of 'Krelboyne Picnic' where she is sobbing to the young Malcolm. The day has been a complete disaster and she is questionning her own teaching eptitude.

Dewey
Apr 21, 2005, 02:39 PM
Try this one instead:

"Its not what it looks like!"

NeCoHo
Apr 21, 2005, 03:06 PM
that's Dewey in "Ida Loses A Leg" and he is burrying the leg when Hal comes home with a dog.

Dewey
Apr 21, 2005, 03:18 PM
You are right, but it wasn't the scene I had in mind.

My mind was with the scene of 'Lois vs Evil' with Malcolm and Reese fooling with the carpet cleaner. Its Malcolm speaking to Lois as he is obviously covered in soap.

Well done though - you get to give us the next one!

NeCoHo
Apr 21, 2005, 03:30 PM
How about this:

"Now do not untie me until the morning no matter what I say or how much I beg."

allison
Apr 21, 2005, 03:32 PM
That´s easy, it´s from Reese drives. :D

Dewey
Apr 21, 2005, 03:32 PM
Is that from Reese Drives?

Reese is realising that the only way he can be good, is if he is tied up. I love the way in which Dewey manipulates Reese's position to his advantage.

Dewey
Apr 21, 2005, 03:33 PM
Allison, you posted faster than me there. But looking at the timing, it was close. We were within the same minute!

NeCoHo
Apr 21, 2005, 03:34 PM
Corrrect, I guess it was easy, give me some slack, it's my first time. :)

allison
Apr 21, 2005, 06:56 PM
Try this one:

"Future is now, old man"

arach
Apr 21, 2005, 07:21 PM
This one was pretty easy; it's Lois' Makeover, after the boys defeated Hal playing basketball. :)

allison
Apr 21, 2005, 07:24 PM
I know it was easy, I was just too lazy to think of something more difficult.:D
Ok, so make the next one.^^

arach
Apr 25, 2005, 08:25 AM
Sorry for letting you wait! :o If that happens again, anyone of you may post the next question.

"For the next five days, you boys will be my slaves"

Pretty easy I guess.

NeCoHo
Apr 25, 2005, 08:28 AM
Hal in Tiki Lounge

arach
Apr 25, 2005, 10:34 AM
Of course, carry on. :)

NeCoHo
Apr 25, 2005, 11:35 AM
ok, try this one:

"You know the other day at the store when I pretended not to know you?"

Dabney
Apr 25, 2005, 11:37 AM
Houseboat?

NeCoHo
Apr 25, 2005, 11:50 AM
yes, your turn now.

Dabney
Apr 25, 2005, 04:24 PM

ultimatemalcolmfan
Apr 25, 2005, 09:53 PM
yeah it is. I have one for you.
Reese: I wish Reggie would kill Archie and take over this comic.

allison
Apr 26, 2005, 04:05 AM
That´s from experiment I guess.

"Reese, everything coming out of your nose is going right back in your mouth."

NeCoHo
Apr 27, 2005, 06:58 AM

allison
Apr 27, 2005, 01:36 PM
It´s an episode from the 2nd season. And it´s said in the beginning of the episode.

dizzy
Apr 27, 2005, 02:21 PM
It's from ''hall quits'' right?? This was a hard one. i remeberd the line but could't remember the ep and now it just clicked!!:D

allison
Apr 28, 2005, 02:20 PM
Correct answer.:D

dizzy
Apr 29, 2005, 08:34 AM
okay, next 1

"If you have to, yell 'fire.' If that doesn't work, set one."

allison
Apr 30, 2005, 08:34 AM
I think that sounds like Reese. But I have no idea from what episode it is.

Dewey
Apr 30, 2005, 09:21 AM
Was it Lois in 'Watching the baby?"

dizzy
Apr 30, 2005, 09:28 AM
It was lois but not in watching the baby, it's from season 6

Dewey
Apr 30, 2005, 11:08 AM
Is it 'Hal Sleepwalks?'

dizzy
Apr 30, 2005, 11:14 AM
Yep, that's it

Dewey
Apr 30, 2005, 05:24 PM
"You're the man Francis. You're the man!"

ultimatemalcolmfan
Apr 30, 2005, 06:11 PM
I can think of the line but I can't think of the episode but I know. Oh, it's from Home Alone 4 when the police were driving off with Francis's friends. I think it was circus that said that.

allison
Apr 30, 2005, 06:20 PM
I think it was from smunday when Francis´friends tried to find that letter.

Dewey
Apr 30, 2005, 06:52 PM
You are right Allison. It was from the episode: Smunday. These are the words of Justin.

allison
Apr 30, 2005, 07:56 PM
Ok, so i´ll do the next.

"You´ve got a real gift for this butt-kissing stuff."

dizzy
May 1, 2005, 04:28 AM

not really :D

Uhm..hm...ok, let's take this one:

"What are you doing? Came back to steal my jewelry?"

NeCoHo
May 18, 2005, 07:56 PM

Alas, I have thought of one:

"Can I be the little girl?"

allison

I think that´s from "Surgery" when the family wants to play a game. And Hal answers something like "no, you´re definitely not going to be the little girl.":p

You got it.

Dewey: We look just like the family on the box. Can i be the little girl?
Hal: Not on my watch.

They seem to be a clever family - being able to play Risk and all. I've never been able to figure that game out.

allison
May 20, 2005, 09:20 PM
I tried to play it with my sister and a friend when I was younger (pretty young, about 7 years old) and I couldn´t figure it out, either.

Here´s my next quote:

"Ok, but if you miss her you´ll only make her mader."

(I think that´s an easy one)

Dewey

That is from the episode where Dewey was talking to some animal...i don't remember which one though I can hear the line in my head.

Emrysgirl
May 30, 2005, 01:10 AM
I believe the animal was a hamster. Is the quote from Health Scare?

Correct.

Its your turn to delight us with a verbal sample from the show.

Emrysgirl

allison
Jun 3, 2005, 09:23 PM
Ok, it´s from a season 6 episode. And it was said by Reese.

allison
Jun 3, 2005, 09:49 PM
I´m sorry, this is a little off topic, but I have a question about a quote and since this is a quote topic I thought it would at least fit in a little bit. In "Reese comes home" Reese said:
"And when the guy found out I was a dude, it wasn't like a total deal-breaker."

What does he mean by that? It´s not that I don´t understand the words, I just don´t get the meaning of the second part of the sentence. Can someone maybe help me?

yardgames
Jun 3, 2005, 11:07 PM
I don't quite remember what context it was in, but I believe that there was some guy in Afghanistan who thought Reese was a woman because he was dressed up that way at some point. He thought her a rather attractive woman, and wanted to, uh, have a relationshiop with "her," but the "deal-breaker," the fact that the relationship cannot happen was that Reese was indeed male.

allison
Jun 3, 2005, 11:20 PM
You´re right about the context (sorry I should have written that). Thanks for your explanation, but what I don´t get is "it WASN`T like a total deal breaker."You said it WAS a deal breaker, and that´s what I thought. Maybe it´s a wrong quote, but I read this in the section of the voting community, where people rated the episode.

edit:

Probably it was just a joke. You don´t know why it wasn´t a deal breaker, but it´s just strange and that´s what makes it funny. Well that´s at least my explanation.

arach
Jun 11, 2005, 11:28 AM
Maybe they meant that for the afghan guy, it was no deal-breaker, because he even liked the fact that he was a guy. I also thought he said "dude-breaker" instead of "deal-breaker".

Anyway, your quote is from Billboard of course. Reese says that after Malcolm says he shouldn't talk about the feminists that way. :)

Emrysgirl
Jul 8, 2005, 04:29 PM

Jimmy Junior
Jul 11, 2005, 02:01 AM
It was the one where the woodcutters had a stag night for that old guy and Eric had someone relaying details of a stripper to him by telephone, but because it was one of Francis' Alaska sub-plots I haven't a clue which episode it's from.

"What part of this looks like it should have authority involved?"

Emrysgirl
Jul 11, 2005, 02:12 AM
Mine was from Reese's Job.

Is yours from Christmas Trees?
