I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with yield manager popups. I get loads of them and they pop up, every 15 minutes! If anyone knows how to get rid of them please tell me!:D
They get past my pop up blocker and anti spyware programs.:(

What antispyware program do you use? Download the trial version of Webroot Spy Sweeper from www.webroot.com and give that a try. Also try Ad-Aware, you can find it at download.com.

Yeah, I like Spy Sweeper. Highly recommend purchasing it. The way that it works, it attempts to stop the spyware before it is installed, rather than just doing a weekly scan like MS Antispyware. But MS is better than nothing. Glad to help. :)

May I ask what yield manager pop ups are, I really don't have a clue what they are! :D Perhaps you can post a screenshot or something next time one pops up.

Well i will try:D But they just advertise random things and competions...if you type it in on google you will find that many others have had problems as well.
Ive found out that the pop ups are coming from something called 'purity scan' which is also a form of spyware but disgises itself to be a help. It says its designed to filter out unwanted pornography (i seriously didnt install it intentionally!!) for the price of displaying a few pop ups. Define few!! Well it also said on a website about it that it can hide in the installation of other programs which sounds like the most common reason that i got it, since i have a bad habit wiht not reading the terms and conditions but i will really try to now!! So on the official site of purity scan you can uninstall it. Everything has been ok so far...but thats what i said last time...so keep it open until its confirmed!
