"The James Joyce Award is an award given by the Literary and Historical Society of University College Dublin (UCD) for those who have achieved outstanding success in their given field. It is named after one of the society's alumni, James Joyce, author of the masterpieces Dubliners, Ulysses and Finnegans Wake."

I've found this unique picture of the February 20, 2007 event at long last on
http://dewey-world.skyrock.com/, I hope it's genuine, but I still don't get it.

I mean, this puts Erik in the same league as seasoned authors Noam Chomsky, Salman Rushdie, Seamus Heaney, JK Rowling, Michael Palin, Rev. Jesse Jackson, President F.W. de Klerk, soccer player Gary Lineker, The Who singer Roger Daltrey, Beatles producer George Martin, comedians Will Ferrell and Eddie Izzard? I mean, a very diverse bunch to be sure, but what would the criteria be? I suppose it could have something to do with his ancestry on his father's side. Think 'O Sullivan' and you have the archetypal Irish surname....? According to the Malcolm France site 'MITM is one of the most popular series in Ireland'. This should help ;).

Perhaps Dakota Fanning and The Jonas Brothers will be next. What would James Joyce himself say, if alive and not turning in his grave? ;)

Yes, shirt, jacket and haircut are indisputably a 100% match, my dear Watson! :detective:

And boy, does that Dewey World type love glitter. I'm sure it must mean something deep down in this person's psyche, my dear Sigmund :euro:
