Yes its true, I dont know much but they had a trailer for it on SkyOne after the UK tv finial episode showing.

Its called "Dewey's Therapy Sessions" It has clips of Dewey with longer hair talking about his family to the camera.....

Its on at 7PM Next Sunday 9th July SkyOne.

Its mnetioned on Eriks Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erik_Per_Sullivan

I dont know who made it, who wrote it? But it said "series of thearpy sessions" so it may be more than one show. It seems like its just Erik.

Im away when its on but ill try to record it.

Yes tjpeople, I saw the same trailer at the end of the episode, but... I dont think it is a spin off at all mate.

Yes, it mentioned the words "Dewey and Therapy" but I'm sure it said... "How many Therapy sessions will Dewey need now?" I could be totally wrong but I think im right.

Final thing, which I am 100% sure on is there is no "Dewey Therapy" show on next Sunday at 7pm...Once I saw the trailer at the end I looked through the Sky Guide to next Sunday at 7pm and it said Malcolm In The Middle... I pressed information and what is showing next Sunday at 7pm is the "Pilot" episode and then after that is the "ZOO" episode at 7.30pm.

Here is a SkyOne TV guide for Sunday 9th July 2006...
If you click on "Malcolm In The Middle" it will tell you the program sypnosis at the top of the guide... I have already clicked on the 7pm slot show...
http://www.skyone.co.uk/listings/default.aspx?Channel=SK1&Day=Sunday&Date=2006-07-09&startime=19:00&Title=Malcolm%20in%20the%20Middle

SkyOne are now going to show every episode filmed (not in order) starting with the "Pilot" next Sunday at 7pm to kick things off.

The trailer at the end of tonights episode I think was a sort of goodbye, with Dewey drawing on the pictures of the cast of the show...because this short clip of an older Dewey, drawing on faces in a photo book was constantly shown on SkyOne before the final episode... Here is a link to the clip which is being shown before the final episode, saying dont miss it...

Thanks to the person off this website who created it :)

Im pretty sure it is a show. Seems like a lot of effort to do all the filming of Erik for the trailers but not be making a series. I cant see it mentioned in any TV guides yet tho.

Sounds interesting if anything does materialize. But I wouldn't be happy if it were only in England. :D

OK :) im not being argumentative lolol and I understand what you are saying, but surely if theres a new show on next week it will be in the SkyOne TV guide for next Sunday at 7pm and not the "Pilot" episode

Even if it's just a one time special, that's still awesome news! It really sucks though if it's only in the UK.

i found out news about this show

When Sky where showing adverts for "the sunday send off" there was one ad that said "thanks dewey....enjoy the therapy" so that was out frist hint. Secondley our other hint from last months sky magazine, do you remeber the post i sent about it, it said (about the last episode) "and then we will show the best moments from the seris's" so there was our second clue. The show is dewey presenting episodes of malcolm that he's in showing his wildest moments. The frist episodes showing are:
1) pilot
2) Zoo
-and as i have said dewey presents these, there will be news in next weeks Sky magazine so i will post up what it states, when i get it.

Transcript of what was said at the end of Graduation:

Erik: Im not entirely sure why i'm here, I guess it may have something to do with my family

Voice over: Deweys weekly threapy session start next sunday at 7:00. here on sky one.

Voice over: Thats all happening next sunday.

The scene is set with Erik in a room sitting, then lying on a couch and theres a plaque on the table saying "Dr Cushion", "Child Psychiatrist"

And Irelanders,lol.

I taped that ad of Dewey after the Graduation episode( which was brilliant by the way!!):D And I was wondering about it to. And the same happened to me when I checked the Sky Planner, it said pilot and Zoo are on. Im still confused though, is Erik(Dewey) going to host the next few episodes or something?

on the re-runs of malcolm the same thing comes up with him saying 'im not entirely sure why im here,' but the voice over says

" Dewey spills the beans in his weekly threapy session, sunday at 7."

so god knows if it is something different or just the pilot.

It seems, based on what people have said, that they are basically re-running all MITM eps, but with introductions from Dewey beforehand.

wando

did anyone watch it?

basically it was around 30 seconds to 1 minute of dewey saying whats below:

transcript:

"im not entirely sure why im here; i guess it may have something to do with my family, (hes sitting in a childs psychiatrists office).
we've been described as dysfunctual, but i think were just a normal regular family."

"we talk to each other," (cut to clip from thanksgiving of the family argueing),

"we spend time together" (cut to clip from pilot of them all eating at dinner table with no-one talking, just eating)

"take vacations," (cut to clip of of casino with hal, reece, and malcolm lost wondering whether the animal is a cougar or a puma)

"whats there to talk about??" (cut to clip of lois and hal with three eclares wondering whos gonna eat them, and the door slams and they shovel them down, (i dont know what episode this is from))

cut to pilot.

i think there gonna do this every week, just like a minute of him talking about his family and having clips that are the complete opposite of what hes talking about!

p.s they played pilot and zoo, but at the start of zoo it said the best of malcolm in the middle, so i recon that these episodes over the next few weeks are erik/deweys faviorites. but i dunno, just an idea..

It kinda shows the lack of respect that FOX has for the show, when you think that SkyOne has gone to far more effort for the MITM fans in Britain than FOX did.

Very true.
And if only FOX had kept it in its original timeslot, it would have kept on having good ratings.
But no, instead they move it around to make place for crappy shows that last half a season.

I wonder how they got Erik to make an intro for 2 episodes for SkyOne and not for Fox? Thats really strange! And he looked alot older in it too, his hair was longer and darker. Maybe it was only a once off for 2 of them episodes? But I thought that it said 'Dewey dishes the dirt on Lois' before it came on, but that didn't happen...

Jul 15, 2006, 12:11 PM
yeh, this sunday at 7 it will have dewey talk a little about her, like last week, and they will show lois makeover. i assume it will do one of each of them every week, so this week lois, next week hal, francis, reece, malcolm, and maybe jamie. but i recon they will use one for all the brothers. i dunno, we will see...

I can't imagine the intro's will be that good. It's highly unlikely they will have been written by any of the MITM writers. More likely than not SkyOne will have written them.

Thanks for the link, nyl. :) I wonder why they have Erik doing these? It's cool though that he is. But to me, it sort of makes me think there should be a special episode where Dewey visits the doctor and reflects on his past. Another clip show...

But as everyone says, wow, Erik seems much older now, a good year or two older than when the show ended, even though filming only wrapped about 4 months ago.

Thanks for the links NYL and TJ. That's pretty cool that sky one did something like that and that Erik agreed to do it. It's amazing how much older he seems over the course of a few months. Does anyone happen to have any of the other clips of his "talks", or is the therapy one the only one?

It's Kaley Cuoco (you might know her from the films 10.5 or crimes of fashion; or maybe from one of her tv series like 8 simple rules or charmed)

It seems they're going on.
The link I posted earlier has been updated, you can now see 2 new -short- therapy sessions, about Francis and family vacations.
