This is an episode I missed thanks to a damned ice storm that took out the power for a whole weekend. I read about the episode on our episode guide and was just wondering why Hal got so involved in Dewey's "love life". It seems to me that whenver Malcolm or Reese get involved with a girl Hal and Lois(well, mainly Lois:D ) try their hardest to destroy the relationship. Why was Hal trying so hard then to get Dewey with Gina?

Well, as you said, it's mostly Lois that does that. :D

Actually, I really think that, for the most part, Hal and Lois stay out of their kids' love life. They're overprotective sometimes, but generally speaking, they don't really mind that much either way.

In this particular episode, however, Hal gets overly involved because it's Dewey's first girlfriend and Hal thinks it's high time he had a girlfriend so he goes to whatever heights he has to to make it happen.
