Frankie on September 16 raced in the Mazda MX-5 Cup which took place at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. During practice, Frankie finished in 8th place out of 28 drivers. A good results considering this was Frankie’s first time racing in a proper sedan race car.
Following Friday’s qualifying session, Frankie started Saturday’s main race in 6th place. During lap 10 of the race, Frankie and Matt Cross were battling for 2nd place, but contact was made on turn 1 causing them both to slid of course. Frankie finished in 25th place.
As with these things nothing is 100% reliable, but we report it and you can make up your own mind.
USMagazine is reporting that, Lindsay Lohan has been in rehab for more than two months but Frankie had this to say at Us’s Hot Hollywood party on September 26:
“[Lohan] is going to come back an even bigger celebrity than she ever was — and that sucks!” ….“Her last four movies have failed miserably, but she’s still going to have a $10 million paycheck.”….Frankie puts the blame on the very Hollywood machine that made him and Lohan child stars. “As a young actor, you have to mature very fast in an adult business…and there aren’t enough people who say ‘no,’ ” he says, adding, “When Lindsay was pulled over for the second time for a DUI, nobody said, ‘I’ll never work with her again.’ It’s ridiculous to me.”
This does support Frankie’s repeated expression of dislike for Hollywood the people in the business.
Last week Frankie Muniz was at the LAX Nightclub/The Palms in LUXOR Las Vegas, along with Jack Osbourne, a new girlfriend (maybe we don’t really know) and others. Photos in our gallery.
My Sexiest Year, starring Frankie Muniz, is set to have its world premiere at the 2007 Hamptons International Film Festival, in New York, on October 18th.
From the film festivals official website, comes the most in-depth plot description we’ve had of this film to date.
Jack Stein (Frankie Muniz) is a 17 year-old who lives with his sick mother and grandfather in Brooklyn. He wants nothing more than to be a writer, but when his mother’s health takes a turn for the worst, Jack is sent to Miami to live with his father, “Zowie” (Harvey Keitel), a small-time “handicapper” who gives horse racing tips for a living. Not much of a parent, Zowie has shirked his fatherly responsibilities for most of his son’s life. Nonetheless, Jack is excited about the prospects of bonding with his dad in sunny Miami.
Jack quickly befriends Mark, a local rich kid, whose excess drug use helps him get through the pressures of teenage life in Southern Florida, where the in crowd only cares about how much money your parents make, who’s coming to your pool party, and of course, whether or not you’re getting laid. As Jack tries to navigate the waters of his new home– while trying to connect with his eccentric father–he meets Marina, a famous model who is in town for a photo shoot. The two quickly bond. Jack reminds Marina of her younger brother, who died in a motorcycle accident, and Jack just can’t get over the fact that such a beautiful woman is interested in him. But just when things seem to be going right, all goes terribly wrong. Jack must figure out how to become a man, if he is ever going to finish writing his memoir.
As the film is just starting to make the festival circuit, I’m sure it will be appearing at many more festivals throughout the rest of the year and into 2008 before hopefully securing a distribution deal. We did report previously that THINKFilm had picked it up however we are unable to confirm this.
As most won’t know Frankie Muniz guest stars in Danny Roane: First Time Directorwhich he filmed more than a year ago. But it has only been shown in a few film festivals to date. However its coming to DVD on November 6th. You can see Frankie in the trailer below, but from what I can tell he only has a small role playing himself.
Frankie Muniz (Malcolm) will be starring in a new sports comedy movie Division III with the tagline “College Football… Technically.” Its scheduled for a 2008 release and has just begun filming.
Its based on this short which was made last year but doesn’t star Frankie or Tom Green.
Still very little information on this movie but we will update you as soon as more becomes available.
Frankie Muniz (Malcolm) filmed another movie last year before going into racing that is also yet to be released and there is little information on when it will - Parental Guidance Suggestedis a teen sketch sex comedy. There is no trailer and the only image of Frankie in the film is the one above.
Muniz stars as a teen who loses his virginity with his girlfriend (Schneider), only to find she wants to take things much further, including farm animals and midgets. In the film’s one ongoing sketch, Pinkston (best known as the kid prankster on MTV’s first season of “Punk’d”) plays an average high-schooler who falls for the cutest girl in his class but finds he’s looking for love in all the wrong places.
We will keep you up-to date with any more information.
